In the end, Daniel passed away two days after seeing Star Wars. I feel like this was the most important thing I've ever worked on. I had days where I was so afraid we wouldn't get it done in time. I had moments where I felt like I was so overcome with emotion, perhaps I shouldn't have. I'm glad I don't know what it would've felt like to fail this young man. Seeing super fans unite the way they did is truly the highlight of my career. When "The Force Awakens" was finally released, fans made pictures with Daniel's hashtag and took it to theatres with them. They placed them in chairs so they could watch the completed film with the spirit of Daniel. The called the campaign, #SaveASeatForDaniel. They made patches to help his wife, Ashley, with medical bills. 5 years later, Ariana Grande appointed herself the "Ultimate Star Wars Fan" fandoms online flamed her and made sure she knew- Daniel Fleetwood is the "Ultimate Star Wars Fan."
